Atlantic City Hotels

From sunny beachside R&R to decadent cocktail-drenched evenings, Atlantic City is a wholesome family haven by day, and a world of glittering entertainment by night. Stroll the bustling boardwalk’s attractions, immerse yourself in all the fun of the fair, or be allured by the opulence of a casino hotel. Whether you’re visiting for sea air and sunshine, or you’re hoping for a royal flush, Jersey Shore’s favorite cosmopolitan holiday haunt reels in excitable visitors all year round.

Things to see

A breezy seaside stroll down America’s oldest boardwalk is a given when you come to Atlantic City. With over four miles of fun, frolics, and saltwater taffy, here you’ll find quaint shops, tantalizing eateries, and a barrage of top attractions – including the luminous Steel Pier fairground. The promenade is also home to Boardwalk Hall, the city’s sports and music venue. If you hit the jackpot during your stay, hit the Quarter at Tropicana. The Old Havana-themed mall is home to more than 40 splurge worthy shops and boutiques. If you still haven’t found that perfect purchase, Tanger Outlets The Walk offers three blocks of retail therapy. At over 100 stores strong, the shopping hub is home to all the brand name favorites. Gillian’s Wonderland Pier in neighboring Ocean City offers quintessential seaside hijinks with a side of cotton candy. With traditional fairground games, a Ferris wheel and 1920s carousel, the colorful holiday atmosphere provides the perfect memory making backdrop.

Hotels in Atlantic City

From glamorous high rise accommodation to all inclusive family resorts, there are hotels in Atlantic City to suit all pockets and preferences. Luxury here comes in the form of grand palatial casino hotels, decked out with lavish amenities and attentive 5-star service. Expect sumptuous sea view suites, swanky bars, pampering spas and all the ritz and glitz of a casino just moments away. The midrange has a big presence along the seafront and offers a lot for your money, sparing none of the creature comforts. If you want to spend less than that however, budget motels and hotels in Atlantic City stud the areas off the touristy beaten path.

Where to stay

A hotel in Atlantic City itself puts you within reach of all the seaside fun, nightlife and attractions that draw people in all year round. Neighboring Ocean City on the other hand is a more family-orientated alternative. Here you’ll find Gillian’s Island Golf & Water Park, as well as the Wonderland Pier. During the summer months, every Thursday is ‘family night’, with plenty of free entertainment to take in. For those that like to dip in and out of the bright lights and bustle at their own pace, Absecon exists at a gentler pace. Reclining by the Absecon Bay, accommodation here is comparatively cheaper than in the city.

How to get to Atlantic City

Visitors flying from within the States will most likely be touching down at Atlantic City International Airport, the city’s primary gateway. Just ten miles away, shuttles and taxis can get you into the action within minutes. For those coming from further afield however, the better connected Philadelphia International Airport will be your first port of call. It's an hour’s journey from Atlantic City by car, and you can also take the train. NJ Transit services leave from Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station taking about an hour and a half to reach the Atlantic City Rail Terminal. For a suitably glamorous casino-style entrance, seek permission to land at the Steel Pier Heliport.
